Do I look like a Bank?

I'm having issues with family and friends wanting to borrow money from me or just wanting a free hand out. I am so tired of this! Don't get me wrong I love helping people when they are in need even if it involves giving them money, but don't take advantage of my kindness. I know how to say NO, but I have to admit to some people saying NO is hard because I love them and I care about them.

I'm not a pushover by no means. I know how to say NO. I know how to save and budget money. I've had a checking account since I was 15yr old. I have been known to be good at saving money. I use to save money with the thoughts of "What if an emergency happens I will need money?" Then I would never spend it on myself it would only go to helping others while I wait for that emergency to happen. The emergency finally arrived and I went through all of my savings. This sucked because I could have spent some of it on me. I am glad I had money saved otherwise I would have been one of those people borrowing money.

Then reality struck one day when I realize I had less then $5.00 dollars in my "fun checking account." I thought what happened to all my money. Oh I remember! I paid a some bills for someone to help them out and didn't calculate what I had in my account. Good thing this account isn't the account I pay bills out of or I would have been screwed. I had to ask someone two days before I got paid one day if they would go with me during lunch and help me get some gas and that I would pay them back on payday. I wasn't embarrased because everyone needs a little help every now and then. It just taught me to start thinking about my needs before others. I could have dipped into my savings instead of asking for gas but I saw no need since I would be getting paid two days later. I still save money like before I just do it with a different mindset and spend money on myself instead of just for an emergency. I have spent more on myself in the last 3 mth than I have in a long time and I like it ^_^

I AM NOT A BANK It would be nice if some of those people would read my blog, then maybe they would realize how they appear and how they should be more responsible with their money.

What? Why? WTF?

I just don't understand people. I watched the BET Awards last night I have to admit it's probably been close to 10yrs since I've seen the awards. This is the same with the MTV awards I haven't watched them in about 10yrs also. I think it's a younger generation thing or if your a big music person then you watch them.

So I watch the awards and Joe Jackson was sitting on the front row. What a piece of shit! That money hungry child abuser sitting there with all his bling on for the world to see with a smile on his face like I'm getting ready to make money again. I just can't believe people were feeling sorry for his dumb ass. It is well know he abused his children especially Michael and now Joe gets treated like a king. I was VERY disappointed in all of them there especially the ones who mentioned Joe's name. It was suppose to be about Michael not Joe. Michael would roll over in his grave if he knew his children would be in the same house as that piece of shit. Joe and Katherine Jackson filed for custody and got temporary custody of the three children this saddens me :(

The children will now be exploited you will see photos of them all over the place. I'm sure photos will now be sold of them. Nobody in this world will be capable of keeping the children out of the media like Mike did. You will never see a picture of his children on my blog it's exploitation.
The media is reporting that Katherine has custody and they are not mentioning Joe hmm....I wonder why? His name is all over the legal paperwork like her name why no mention of Joe? It's just sad!!! I have ZERO tolerance for CHILD abusers.

P.S.
Rev. Al Sharpton needs to sit his ass down and stay out of it!

A Beautiful Sunday!

This is one of my favorite paintings and it's not because I like red ^_^ I attended service this morning and I'm never let down when I go. I always feel the spirit when I'm there it is my weekly spiritual food. I don't blog much about my beliefs, but I could not resist it this time. I discovered another association with my favorite number while listening to a message this morning. You may not be able to tell by my blog that I attend church regularly. I do and my faith does not dictate what I write and how I feel. However, it does have a lot to do with how I process important issues and choices in my life. We had a speaker talk about charity and the other one on debt this morning. I feel like I have mastered these two areas :) OK, maybe not since I'm not perfect. It was one of those situations where you want someone to ask a certain question so you could proudly raise your hand. It didn't happen so I wanted to scream out loud I HAVE NO DEBT, but I held back since it would be inappropriate in the middle of service. I'm no preachy person and I believe people have a right to choose there own faith or spiritual beliefs as long as it does not infringe or harm another. It was indeed a Beautiful Day !!!

Taking my baby to the Dr.

I just realize my 100th update on twitter was "Taking my baby to the Dr" I thought that was kinda interesting and worth blogging about since I would eventually blog about it. The Baby I'm talking about is my laptop he he...It has been sick since Monday June 22nd. So check this out I decided to wait and call Dell about it since I knew the warranty expired May 23rd 2009 almost a month previous the only reason I knew the date was because I wrote it down when I called on an service issue in Dec 2008 I still have the information in my Dell file I checked and thought crap. I wasn't in the mood to to deal with a service person on the line telling me how much it would cost etc.. so I waited til today Sat Jun 27th when I didn't have to work blah blah blah.

I called and guess what? My warranty expired June 23rd 2009! Ain't that about a bitch? If I had called that day it would have been covered. So I'm screwed and where I thought I was originally I just suck it up and deal with it. Dell told me how much it would cost they thought it may be the mother board or monitor. I then took it to Best Buy to see how much it would cost locally and I ask them to hook it up to one of their monitors to rule out the mother board which I did not think it was. Tah Dah! It worked on a different monitor. I was right! ^_^ The cost for them to fix it would have been the cost for a new computer. The best deal was to call Dell back and prepay so they would send me a gurney to send my baby to them in/on.

I then went and got my monitor out of the garage boxed up in the box it came in as if it was new :) it is a nice Sony 17inch TFT LCD monitor a nice slim design with 1280x1024 resolution. I use it for my desktop computer for my personal business, but my desktop is taken an extended vacation for now. It has been almost a year and a 1/2 since I've done anything with my personal business. I'm not sure when I will start up again I'm looking at the beginning of next year we will have to play it by ear.

Long story short it works. I hooked it up to my laptop once on I pressed Fn & F8 together and Tah Dah! it works now I know it is my screen/monitor. I am writing this post with it now. I just backed up everything to my external drive in case something happens to it on its plane ride to the Dr for surgery. After this weekend I will only be on blogging during the day during the week and no weekends until my baby return ^_^

I will be checking my favorite blogs on the weekend from my crackberry I just can't comment until Monday !!!!!Mauh!!!!!

What a Beauty!

Isn't this the most beautiful scooter you have ever seen? I want this really bad :) It is 150cc I want so many things right now I'm just trying to decide what I want to spend my money on. Whatever I get will be a huge purchase. I just can't figure out what I want to get. There is no need to share the other things I'm considering. I really want a scooter this scooter. I saw the perfect helmet for it also that matches. Decisions decisions decisions. I thought about doing a poll to see what I should get between the three items I'm considering, but thought nah! Maybe if I find a couple more scooters I like I will do a poll on which one to get. What a Beauty!!!

White House BBQ

I appreciate these pictures. I try not to blog about politics, but I could not resist this one.. President Obama and Bobby Flay on the lawn... Who doesn't like Bobby Flay? If you don't know who he is I am sorry :(

President Obama held a Father’s Day BBQ on the South Lawn at the White House on Friday, June 19th. It was a BBQ for Young Men from the D.C. area's high schools. Present at the BBQ were:

….. teenagers, young men, community mentors and everyday dads in hopes of launching what he called a national conversation on responsible fatherhood. Each story was personal. But one of them commanded the most attention: his.

He spoke at length about how his father, Barack Obama Sr., left home early. The future president was just 2 at the time and saw his dad only once more, at age 10, a short visit that still left a lasting imprint.
“I had a heroic mom and wonderful grandparents who helped raise me and my sister, and it’s because of them that I’m able to stand here today,” he told a throng of youngsters. “But despite all their extraordinary love and attention, that doesn’t’ mean that I didn’t’ feel my father’s absence. That’s something that leaves a hole in a child’s heart that a government can’t fill.”
"Just because your own father wasn’t there for you, that’s not an excuse for you to be absent also. It’s all the more reason for you to be present,” Obama said at the White House. He gave the same message earlier at an education center for young, at-risk adults."
“You have an obligation to break the cycle and to learn from those mistakes, to rise up where your own fathers fell short and do better than they did,” Obama said. “That’s what I’ve tried to do with my life.

Why?

Why is it that the people who are closest to you do things that hurt you to the bone and think nothing of it???? people do things all the time and think that it affects no one but them. Why??? I hate that about people. Especially when they have been found out and act like it should not matter. People, please listen. Most things that you do in life affect everyone around you. Dont ever think that you are the only one. No matter how insignificant the situation may be. It is sometimes the small things that can make people lose faith in you. IS it worth it???

It's here..

Honestly this is one of my least favorite days of the year. I wasn't going to blog about it and here I am.. A father to me is the sperm donor.

We all have a father. Fathers come in all forms some of our fathers are good, some are bad, some are awesome, and some have passed on, some are in prison, some are missing, or some of you may have never meet your father. Just because just because someone created you doesn't make them a father.

I have a dad, pops, papi, and father. I love them all. I had contact with all of them except the sperm donor.

Books

I went shopping for some books today. I have to admit I LOVE this store Barnes & Noble. I can spend hours in there and leave with no books :) Today I intended on buying three books off my list, but I bought four along with some other things. I spent over $100 dollars today at the store and It felt good It was money well spent. I had a really crazy Friday so I needed to take care of me and spend money and time on myself instead of everyone else (that's another post.) I have had a list of books to buy, but I have been putting it off for quite some time now so today I finally purchased some of them. Now, I'm not an avid reader like some of people so I don't put a time frame on reading a book I feel no need to rush unless I'm in it lol lol....jk I read several books at once and reading is not one of my top three priorities of things to do. Also, I got a couple of mystery books on DVD from a friend I'm going to try to use them at night when I go to bed to see if they will help me sleep. Hopefully, they won't keep me awake because I'm so into them if so at least I have a reason for not sleeping :) Time will tell!

New Toy

On Sat June 6th I went shopping as I explained in my June 7th post. This is my new toy I just googled red blackberry curve and there was my new toy that's where I got the picture from :) I must say I love it and didn't expect I would like it this much. I can use it as a modem for my laptop, make phone calls, text, tweet, facebook, and myspace. Who needs a computer? OK, I still do ^_^ This has been a crazy and busy week so I will keep this short and sweet. Bre and I should be back to our old selves next week :)

Pedi

I have this thing with my feet and please do not turn it into a sexual topic :) I love my feet and I believe everyone should have a pedicure at least once a week men and women. I've been slacking lately and didn't get one this past weekend because I choose to spend my whole day working out, shopping, and getting ready for a dinner/dance event Saturday evening. Not once did I think of getting a pedicure. My feet still look nice even though it's been over a week since I had them done. The rhinestone's and flowers on my big toes are still pretty :) I would show you but I think that would be a little much for some of you. Although, I do have a picture of my foot as the wallpaper on my cell phone. Saturday evening I danced so much I could barley walk. I danced for almost 4hrs straight granted I had a little break like maybe one song would be played that I didn't really care for so I sat that one out, but not once did I sit two songs out in a row. I had a blast and I also remember why I don't wear heels a lot. I took my shoes off once my feet started hurting and I received compliments on my feet. That made me happy ^_^ Then I had to put them back on for certain songs.

The highlight of my night that made me forget about the pain in my feet was when I requested the DJ play "Single Ladies by Beyonce and told him to ask all the women to go to the dance floor and then to let the guys know that their song was next and I told him to play "I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred. It was awesome I tried to record the men, but I'm not sure it turned out that well. I should probably check huh?

Award

Yesterday we had our monthly meeting. The meeting is optional and some people rarely attend it, but Bre and I always do because we are brilliant. During the meeting I received the Customer Service Award and I was pretty proud and excited. I was like a kid who got their first Telescope (O-O) I needed this award for my own personal reasons. I've been struggling internally personally lately and this help me a lot even though it's only a piece of paper and a hand made magnifying glass that says "The Mission Possible Customer Service Award Given to a ESA who exemplifies customer service "There is no traffic jams along the extra mile"

I wanted to share this with the world! This was the highlight of my week.

Force to Retire!

Let me start off by saying Bre sucks. Now that I got that off my chest. Here is the deal it's that time of year again where we have Performance Review Time this occurs twice a year. We are required to write our own review so we write it in third person as if our Boss wrote it.

So Ancient China (co-worker nick name) came by my desk this morning and handed me a stack of papers neatly paper clipped together we talked then she left. Since Bre sits next to me she became aware of what she gave me. Bre informed me that if we weren't friends she would tell on me. I said "What?" she said "Yes, you're giving them a performance rating in other words a raise blah blah blah..." I said "So I've been doing this for the last 3-4 years." Now I'm stressed Ahhh......

I do this every year not only do I do it twice a year for myself I also do it twice a year for five other people in the building. I admit I write their review for them only because I enjoy it. I don't charge them I only charged in High School he he.. Okay, I know what you're thinking! Why? Well I like to write and I'm good at it and I like to help people. Apparently, my days of writing reviews are over. I am being force to RETIRE :( I made an agreement with Bre that I would not do them anymore.

Now I have to figure out what to tell these people. I have no clue what to say to them. I will probably chicken out and write them a note and at the end of the day put the notes on their desk with their paper work after they leave work today explaining I will no longer be doing them. The nice passive approach. Anyone have any suggestions? I need help!!!!!!

P.S.

Stress vs Shopping

My week didn't go that well last week I was a little stressed out and it didn't help that I wasn't sleeping that well either. I had a really rough week it finally started to get better Friday evening. I'm a pretty responsible person and I do not buy things on impulse. I normally have to sleep on most purchases so that I know it's something I really want and not an impulsive purchase. So Thursday after work I decided to go shopping for cloths and treat myself. I hadn't been shopping in like forever. I shop more for toys, gadgets, and other geeky stuff than I do for clothing.

I got a new phone about 3 or 4 months ago and debated at that time if I wanted to get a crackberry I chose to not get the crackberry because I didn't want to spend the money on it since I knew I only cared about the camera, Internet, and texting. I have been wanting to get a new one since I've been very unhappy with my new phone especially the camera. I went shopping again yesterday and it felt good to spend money. I spent over $500 in three days and I didn't feel bad about it. See I'm normally pretty tight with my money unless it's something I can justify getting, but this weekend was all about me.

Write Your Own Damn Blog!

A man is wearing a blue shirt. A group of catty women are standing nearby when another man comes along and asks what color the mans shirt is. The women each have a different answer: aqua, sky blue, sea green, baby blue, purple. <---Of course, purple came from the chic who only sees what she wants.

They all see the same shirt, but their perceptions of said shirt are all different. This is true in all matters in our lives. What I may see as hilarious, you may see as stupid.

With that being said...my thoughts, memories and views probably won't be the same as yours. Even if I'm talking about something that you were there for...I may remember it a different way than you.

You are certainly welcome to add your views and perceptions to the comment section, but you are not welcome to debate my memories with me. If you have a problem with what I've written, you can write your own damn blog!

This blog isn't intended to offend anyone. It's just a place for me to write and share things and a place for y'all to be entertained.

Online Dating Follow up.....

This is in reply to Bre posting Online Dating as my comment was too long!

I'd have to agree with you on not being too keen on meeting someone through a computer match.

I have been guilty dabbing in some online dating being the shy geek that I am when it comes to dating he he :) I learned my lesson with the first guy I meet. I had one question that was important to me and that was regarding his size (get you mind out of the gutter :) I asked if he could a least run a mile with me nonstop. At that time I was a regular runner and in better shape so I wanted to wean out the grossly overweight people.

I didn't care if he were overweight because most people are now days, but not obese obese that was not acceptable to me. He lied obviously and it freaked me out we meet at a restaurant and I kid you not he was easily pushing 400lb. There was no way he could run a mile if his life depended on it. He couldn't even see his own feet.

I can look past most personal flaws we all have with our looks, but I have one rule if you cannot sit in a chair look down while legs are spread apart an look between your own legs and see your goodies if you are naked then you may be a little too big. Now if you have to suck your stomach in to see your goodies that's OK cause that's baby fat or your just chubby ha ha ha.......beer bellies are OK sometimes :) I think women are a little more flexible on the weight issue than men.

I'm not opposing to meeting someone from blogging online as you said. I think they know you a lot more than some people in your life. I believe when your blogging most likely your being more honest than people online looking to meet someone. I would be more apt to meet someone from blogging than online dating at this stage of my life. Wow I had a lot to say. Time flies when your being Honest ^_^

Warning contains Explicit content...Oops...pt 2 (UPDATED)

After being home for about an hour the person who lives with me knocked on my bedroom door and I said "come in" and this person said "How was your day?" I said " It was good. Then they made a statement saying I think Joe (fake name) is scared of you and I said why? They said I don't know maybe it's because when you came in one day and he said "Hi" and you said "Hey" and went to your room. I said "Why would you think that though, we've never spoken aside from Hey" and they said "because the last couple times you've come home he all of a sudden has to leave." They said he just left I said "when?" they said right after you pulled up I said I didn't see him.

I said I know why he is dodging me and they said why I said "because he saw me in my ******** a week ago and is probably nervous about facing me" They said Oh Yeah! I forgot about that happining. I don't know what the big deal is I'm not embarrassed or upset about it. So I need some manly advice from the men viewers of my blog!

What would be some reasons why he would be nervous facing me after that incident? Has anyone been in his position before? What the big deal? I would like to understand. Also he still hasn't mentioned the incident to my friend. My friend doesn't care they think it's funny :) So my mind is wondering........................

UPDATED: I guess the men are shy! Okay any Females have any opinions

Fear

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

- Marianne Williamson
